Correct Answer: D. Odisha

Introduction

Renewable energy | Agrivoltaics combines solar generation and cultivation on the same land, subject to suitable project design.

Explanation

Odisha announced that it was finalising its dedicated Agrivoltaics Policy 2026 with a target of 1 GW by 2030. The proposed framework required at least 90% of project sites to remain cultivable, safeguarded farmer consent and crop insurance, and envisaged 25-year power purchase agreements through GRIDCO. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy reported this during the second-day conference update. These were policy proposals and future targets at the time; 1 GW should not be described as capacity already installed. Source: https://www.pib.gov.in/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2326832
