Explanation
Introduction Emergency preparedness | Understanding hazard categories is part of planning safe and coordinated responses. Explanation CBRN means Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear. Awareness of these hazards was included in the protection and emergency-response part of the proposed Civil Defence training. Other areas covered threat awareness, fire safety, casualty management, search and rescue, communication and coordination. The term identifies hazard categories, not the names of four participating organisations. The programme sought to strengthen preparedness through specialist training rather than announce a particular CBRN incident. Important Notes CBRN: Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear. Context: protection and emergency-response training. Source: https://www.pib.gov.in/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2327332
